Buxa valley resort is located at Santalabari, a small village deep inside Buxa Tiger reserve. Santalabari is the starting point for treks to Buxa fort and the resort is located about a kilometre before the village. This is an ideal place to stay if you intend to trek to Buxa fort.

The resort is surrounded on three sides by forest and on one side is the road that connect Rajabhatkhawa with Santalabari. The location of Buxa valley resort is at the meeting point of hills with the plains. The land has just started rising but the climb here is not yet steep. The different cottages and the rooms are located on several steps on the rising land. On one end of the resort there is a watchtower aimed at facilitating wildlife viewing by its guests.

The resort has double deluxe rooms as well as 3 and 4 bedded family rooms. There is a basic restaurant at the resort for your gastronomic needs. The food offered is mostly Bengali dishes but on advance notice some special menus can be prepared. Do not expect city hotel like food here as the nearest town of Alipurduar is about an hours drive away from the resort.
