Jaldapara Jungle Camp

Jaldapara forests have three distinct groups of accommodation. The elite Holong Bungalow with its very few rooms which are sold out several months in advance, the Madarihat tourist lodge, a slightly up market resort managed by the tourism department of the government and a number of small basic private accommodation all around Jaldapara forest. Jaldapara Jungle Camp is one of the better options in the third category.

The Jaldapara Jungle Camp is located on the National Highway passing through Madarihat town. Just as you cross the town and enter the forest, the jungle camp will be on your right. The restaurant of the resort is on the highway and provides decent food. It is a popular joint for lunch among vehicles passing through the highway. Next to the restaurant a small path leads inside the Jungle Camp. On your left is a series of different types of rooms that includes family rooms and cottages. The rooms are basic but clean. On your right is a small garden with children playing area. At the end of the resort look across the wall and what you see is part of the dense forests of Jaldapara forest.
