The guest house is one of the best accommodations at Bumthang and provides homely environment and cozy comfortable ambience for guests. Each room has pinewood panelling and is provided with attached toilet with room heating facility. The owner of the hotel lives in the same premise and manages the affairs of the hotel personally with help of relatives. This is a big plus as guests get to interact with local people and learn about local culture and cuisine.

You can explore real Bhutanese cuisines here. Most of the vegetables are grown in the garden of the guest house and are purely organic. 

The Rooms are all spacious with hot showers. Every rooms has heating system if in case the weather is too cold for you. Most of them are twin bedrooms but there are some luxury suites as well.

The rooms are sensitively created for Bumthang weather and traditions with highest quality materials like wooden panels. The floors are also wooden and are laid with traditional carpets. Soft light illuminates the rooms and gives a warm feel.

The hotel has 24 twin rooms and 4 suites. All the rooms have wireless connectivity.

Me and my family spend 3 nights at Kaila Guest house. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. We found the hotel comfortable and the staff and management quite friendly. We did interact with locals including the owner and his relatives. We found them quite helpful and always smiling. The local village is within walking distance. Nothing to write home about in the food but it was decent enough. Lots of local food like Cheese, honey etc are supplied, lunch and dinner also had substantial local component. The rooms are completely panelled in wood and the bathrooms are new but standard. There are stove and electric heater in the room which are useful except in summer months. Free internet wifi is available although the speed is quite slow.

Kaila guesthouse offers very nice large rooms with wooden panelling. The rooms are nice and worm which is quite important as the weather may become quite cold out here. The restaurant is quite basic but clean and offers some local delicacies. The Hotel owner and his family is personally present at the hotel which adds to the overall experience.
