To Reach

Mawsynram is just 16kms from the famous tourist spot of Cherrapunji and is 65kms from the capital town, Shillong. Mawsynram is accessible from both the places and cars and sumos are easily available.

To See

Alike Mawphlang, Mawsynram is also a village of megaliths, as ‘Maw’ stands for stone in the native Khasi language.

Mawjimbuin Cave

It is a cave located in the village of Mawsynram. One can get to see a pair of notable breast-shaped stalactite or stalagmite. A natural stalagmite has been formed and it relates much to the Shiva Linga.
