Short Description
This popular trek in West Sikkim will take you through the most beautiful high forests, to the vast alpine meadow dotted
with unknown flowers, to the uninhabited land of perennial snow and glaciers. The trek routes offer some of the closest view of snow-capped mountain Kunchanjunga.
Day
01: Pick up at Bagdogra/Darjeeling/Gangtok and drive
to Yuksom, the ancient capital of Sikkim through beautiful valleys,
villages, waterfalls and rice fields. Yuksom, a tranquil village
encircled with forested hill provides beautiful vistas of mini
lakes against the Himalayan backdrop. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Trek starts after breakfast to Bakhim
10,100ft, in 8 hours through the rich mossy forest covers and
undulating slopes. We reach Bakhim in the afternoon. Enjoy the
magnificent vista of serene Sikkim landscape. Overnight at tent.
Day 03: After breakfast start trekking to reach
Dzongri along a ridge covering approx. 12 kms in 4 hrs. The
Initially track climbs steeply and then gradually through the
Rhododendron bushes arrive at Dzongri. Overnight stay in trekkers
hut / camp.
Day
04: Spend a whole day at leisure exploring the beautiful
valley and capturing some priceless pictures of the area. Overnight
at Dzongri.
Day 05: Return trek to Tsokha. We avoid Bakhim
and reach Tsokha village by a different route. Overnight at
Camp.
Day 06: We return Yuksom in 4 hours. Free evening
at Yuksom. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07: Today we help you to depart to your
desired destination in Gangtok or Darjeeling.
