Pakke is both a tiger reserve and a wildlife sanctuary. It is located in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh which is separated from Tippi only through a river named Kameng in between. The main attraction of the sanctuary is the diversity of bird species and a good collection of big cats like leopard and Bengal tiger. Physiographically, the sanctuary falls under the foothills of Eastern Himalayas where the terrain is hilly, with undulating elevations, as the park covers a total area of 861.95 square kilometer. It is surrounded by Kameng River in west, Pakke River in east, lofty mountains and Papu River in north and Nameri Tiger Reserve in south. Also the park is really close to Seesa Orchid Sanctuary, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary and Papum reserve Forest. The landscape changes from valleys and hilly slopes to riverine forests. Tropical semi-evergreen, Eastern Himalayan Broadleaf forests, alluvial and bamboo forests make some portions of the entire vegetation. Climbers, lichens, mosses flourish underneath the trees as the cold and moist temperatures allows such vegetal growth. The park receives heavy rainfall during monsoon season and humidity is high throughout the year.

Mammals-Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Common Leopard, Asiatic Black Bear, Barking Deer, Hog Deer, Elephant etc.

Birds-Great Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Rufous-necked Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, White-cheeked Hill-Patridge, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Jerdon Baza,

Pakke Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve also accommodate many forest bungalows for visitors. Customized camps are available for tourists inside the park.
